1. Who you are dealing with
The service at careerlyfe.com is provided by Artech Future Technologies Limited, a Delaware company with its registered office at 131 Continental Drive, Suite 305, Newark, Delaware 19713, New Castle County, United States (“CareerLyfe”, “we”). Our affiliate in Nigeria, which the Delaware company owns and oversees, helps run the service. Customer service: support@careerlyfe.com. We aim to answer within two working days.
2. What the service is
CareerLyfe is a career simulator. You take a simulated job, work shifts of realistic tickets, and your decisions are recorded and graded. The result is a proof of your work that you own and may share. The companies, colleagues, managers, pay and money shown in the product are simulated. They are a learning environment, not employment, and no amount shown is owed to you or by you.
3. Your account
- You must be 16 or over and you sign in with an email address you control. Keep it secure; sign-in links are personal.
- One person per account. Do not let someone else sit a shift, a verification or an employer challenge as you.
- Give a display name you are happy for colleagues and anyone you share a proof with to see.
- We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and we will say why unless the law prevents it.
4. Acceptable use
Treat the simulated workplace as you would a real one. Do not harass, abuse or deceive other people; do not post anything unlawful or that you have no right to post; do not try to break, overload or reverse-engineer the service, the code runners or the grading; do not scrape other people’s data. Chat is moderated: messages can be held, removed or reported, and a person can be muted.
5. Grades, proofs and sharing
- Grades are evidence of what you did on specific tickets on specific days. They are not a prediction of job performance and we do not sell them as one. The methodology page says how they are produced.
- Your proof is yours. It is private until you create a share link; you can revoke a link at any time. We may show counts and anonymised figures about grading on the methodology page.
- No job guarantee. Nothing in the service promises you a job, an interview or an outcome.
6. Employer challenges
An employer may invite you to take a challenge shift. Taking it is optional and does not affect your regular simulated job. The employer sees your graded replay and signals for that challenge, by name; a person at the employer decides what happens next. Demographic questions on a challenge are optional and are never shown to employers. The challenge policy on the methodology page has the detail.
7. The Career Pass
| What | Terms |
|---|---|
| Free tier | The first week (days 0 to 5), graded work and a shift score. No card needed. |
| Career Pass | £7 per month including VAT, billed monthly in advance in GBP. Shifts every day after the first week, detailed line-by-line feedback, the option to retry a shift, and a verified, shareable evidence link. It buys more practice and feedback, never a better grade. |
| Payment | Taken by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. Prices may change with at least 30 days’ notice by email; the new price applies from your next renewal. |
| Cancelling | Cancel at any time from the upgrade page. Your Pass stays active until the end of the period you have paid for and does not renew. |
| Refunds | You have 14 days from first purchase to cancel for a full refund, unless you asked us to start the Pass immediately and have used paid features, in which case we refund the unused part of the first month. After that, payments for a started month are not refunded, except where the service was unavailable for a sustained period or the law requires it. Ask at support@careerlyfe.com. |
| Disputes | Contact us first; most problems are a refund or a fix away. Nothing here limits your rights as a consumer. |
8. Content and intellectual property
The tickets, companies, characters, lessons and grading rules are ours or our licensors’. You may use them inside the service. The code, queries, messages and reasons you write are yours; you give us a licence to store, grade, display to the people this service shows them to, and process them as the privacy policy describes.
9. AI in the product
Colleagues and managers in the simulation are played by AI models, and models read parts of your work to grade it. Models can be wrong; every grade has a deterministic check and a person decides anything that affects another person. Treat what a simulated colleague says as part of the exercise, not as advice.
10. Availability and changes
We work to keep the service up and will tell you about planned downtime. We may change features, tickets and companies as the product grows. If a change removes something a Pass holder paid for, we tell you and you may cancel for a pro-rated refund.
11. Liability
We provide the service with reasonable care and skill. We are not liable for loss that was not foreseeable, for loss caused by something outside our control, or for business losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit. Our total liability to you for anything else is the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
12. Ending the agreement
You can delete your account at any time by writing to support@careerlyfe.com. We can end it for a serious or repeated breach of section 4, with notice where that is reasonable. Sections 5, 8, 11 and 13 survive.
13. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, and the state and federal courts in New Castle County, Delaware have jurisdiction, with one exception: if you are a consumer in the United Kingdom or the European Union, you keep every protection your local consumer law gives you that cannot be contracted out of, and you may bring a claim in the courts of the country you live in. Nothing here takes away rights you have as a consumer.
14. Changes to these terms
When these terms change in a way that matters, we raise the version above and ask you to read and agree again the next time you sign in. Smaller wording changes update the date only.
